Artprize

An artistic illustration of the joy and life that a puppy brings to everyone’s heart. These puppies bring more to the table than just joy; they bring independence to people with disabilities, changing their lives on a daily basis. One tiny paw print at a time. Not only have puppies left prints on our hearts they leave them on our canvas as well. Steps towards Independence come in many forms. This is just a sample.
The Artists
Bob Kozminski, Weaver, Bennet, Byron, Bizzy, Boz, Bailey, Billy, Bali and Beauty

 The masterpiece

"every once in a while a dog enters your life and
 ..... changes everything"

"Amy Brumleve who is our breeding coordinator came up with a very cute idea and took a litter of 8 black labs and four weeks of age painted their paws and put them out on a canvas 54 inches by 16 feet and let them go to it," said Joe Dulin, director of advancement."
Brumleve repeated the process, using different colors, for four consecutive weeks as the pups grew in size.
"The final piece of the process was to take one of our clients, Bob Kozminski, and his dog Weaver . We painted the wheels of his wheel chair and painted the paws of Weaver and Weaver pulled Bob across the canvas," said Dulin. "The piece is called "Steps Towards Independence" and it really is a beautiful piece that speaks to the mission of Paws With A Cause."
